Yes, of course it is. And it will be for some time to come. But hold on to the knowledge that this hurt will gradually be less acute!

Just wondering Splinter whether you might have been in courier mode around Swiss Medical in Pueyrredon yesterday evening? Walked past there and saw a brand-spanking new Royal Enfield with brand-spanking new registration plates parked outside the entrance and I wondered....? If I had recognised the rider I had planned to break out into.....
...but on second thoughts that might have just been too creepy!

Sorry mate, that wasn't me. I was on the other side of town, but would have welcomed some Gene Vincent!
This is mine by the way.

Tough afternoon spent in the campo in 35c heat.
Then spent a couple of enjoyable hours this evening at the pipe club meet. Lots of smoking and drinking beer with good lads.

I've been painting the house since Monday so I've not been on the net much this week which is a nice break actually.
So many jobs that I've been putting off.

You’re painting the house again??

You’re painting the house again??
Yep.
It's surprising how often it needs doing. And I'm catching up on other paintwork I should have done ages ago, like the back door and frame for example, which needed stripping and repair/filling in gaps around the frame.
In fact there's so many things to do that I could spend another week or two doing this kind of work.

The door to my den upstairs was in a hell of a state, as was the door frame, so I sanded down as much as I could.
I was about to repaint in white but decided that I needed a change to brighten the place up, so chose Traful Blue, painting the door horizontally in the front garden for the primer and first coat.
I'm now tempted to paint the back door in the same colour
I've clearly got the painting bug!

Typing one-handed tonight (Oi! Stop it you lot! Enough!)
I was stripping down the three vacuum cleaners we have to see if we could just assemble one that doesn't suck. Or rather, one that does suck. Properly. In the process I gashed my finger rather badly so, on top of feeling sore, I'm feeling a bit of an idiot.

Ouch!

Today feels like Monday, but it's Wednesday which means the day after tomorrow is Friday, with the next public holiday (out of several dozen) being on 24th March.

How awful to have to wait an entire month for the next holiday!

Dont worry Splinter , the banks are on strike tomorrow so it will feel like a holiday in some places.
WTF are they wanting now? They're very well looked after as it is!! It had better not delay me getting my UK pension.

My main customer is a private school in Acassuso and I fetch and carry for them which is a lot of fun, especially since they pay me for it
One of my tasks is to do payments for them at some banks, one of which is Provincia Net (Banco Provincia). Usually the queue is only about three or four people and I'm in and out in a few minutes. But today, because of deadlines on certain payments for ARBA etc, the line was very long, with a lot of hot and bothered people. I went home for a couple of hours hoping it would be shorter later, but no. And only two cashiers open. I waited nearly an hour.
Not much fun, but at least I get paid and charge waiting time.

Our car which is three years old went for its MOT today. I was waiting outside the test centre when the missus drove out. I could tell just by looking at her face something was up. It failed because the break lights weren't working. She's got two months to get the problem fixed. and it'll get a pass.
