Alright for some.
Air France stewardesses are especially sexy...
prepare for your punishment
I knew a wee lassie from Kelvinside who worked for Air France. Nice posh Scottish accent but very sexy when she spoke French which she did do fluently.
When I was a single lad , I tried to take her for a drink on more than one occasion , but she was always busy.....
Yes I know. She was with me.
No she wasn't. She was with a good guy from Glasgow . I don't think you are that man nor a good guy...

Stop it! I wasn’t with either one of you.

Now back to food instead of French knickers.
New Year food was crap....thankfully the booze was okay.
I made a lovely asado which was well received, if I say so myself.
The mollejas were first class.

Glad to hear it. I made one on the 1st and it was hardly touched because noone was hungry....MIL was to blame for that.
...her loss, your gain, UK Man !
Told the missus I will not be making BBQ on New Years day ever again unless it suits me.
Traditional NYD meal in SE United States: ham, blackeyed peas, collard greens or cabbage.
I know the greens are for money, but don’t remember if the ham and peas are for anything specific or just general good luck in the new year.
We had bife de chorizo with chimichurri. Surely that is a good luck choice in Argentina!
There comes a time when the expat has to put his foot down with a heavy hand and take control of such matters, which is exactly what I'll be doing at the end of this year.
The MIL has invited some 'relations' who live in BA to come and visit us in a couple of weeks.....I haven't a friggin' clue exactly what the family connection is but they aren't that closely related. MIL has suggested we have a BBQ out in the countryside....and yes, muggins here has to make it.
The wife isn't happy about it as they only appear every ten years or so...probably to check we're all still alive. Unbeknown to her mother who just loves any excuse to eat, wifey has suggested we just give them choripan to cut down on the work and hassle of having to make a large BBQ....there could be five or six of them. A splendid idea in my book or are we being mean?

Time to make the appointment match with some political recruiting even by the Ks, so you don't even have to fire the parilla at all. Let them doing what they do best!
I get on well with my MIL, she lives around 15 blocks away and we don't get in each other's pockets, but I know that she would never presume to invite her relatives just like that. Or at least it would be put to a committee meeting first.
Christmas was bad enough with people we didn't know at all.

Yesterday we had lunch at a friends house
Starter - Choripan in abundance
Main course . Canelones a la bolognesa with various salads
Sweet - ice cream
The host asked me to bring a selection of beers
Wine champagne and tequila ( The man in question lives in Mexico for the best part of the year) in sufficient quantity to make me happy.
