Timekeeping is a problem here as well amongst many Argentine tradesmen. The thing that gets on my goat the most are the ones who arrange times to suit themselves rather than the client. Then either turn up late or not at all and expect you to accomodate them. My missus quite rightly tells them to F off.

I agree: the worst is being told they will arrive at 7 am, then getting up at 6 to have everything ready for them, then waiting for their eventual arrival at 9:30 or 10.
No, the VERY worst is being they’ll arrive at 7, getting up early to prepare for them, and eventually realizing they’re not coming at all.
On May 3 we started bathroom renovations that originally had been set for April 18, and we’re promised it would be a 6 day job. Today is May 25 and they aren’t finished yet.
Meanwhile bits of grit from mortar, grout, and marble cutting are being ground into the wooden floor in their traffic pattern. We spend an hour or so every time they leave, having to clean behind them in our apartment, the elevator, stairs, courtyard and common areas they track through.

The missus is off to her hairdresser....''see you in a couple of hours'' she said.
Thank God I'm not a woman. I went to Tati last week for a haircut and was in and out in 15 minutes!!

15 minutes?
My man can do it in 10 unless he is trimming my eyebrows and then it's 12.....

I always get my nose, ear and eyebrows trimmed.

I do my nose myself with a wee trimmer I bought in the USA...

I've got one of them I bought it in Boots years ago. Always use it before I go to the hairdresser however he always insists on doing it as well. Habit probably.

Sounds painful. But full marks to you both on good grooming!

Only when the battery starts to run out!!

It’s funny, but tamed eyebrows make a man look both well-groomed and younger. Don’t geezers look in the mirror?

Strange isn't it? My wife would soon have the scissors out when I was asleep well before I looked like that.

My wife trims my hair, eyebrows, and ears, the nose I have to do. She hasn't cut a ear off, YET!!!!!

That's why I do it myself....I wouldn't trust my missus. I cringe when I see her with scissors in hand trimming pieces of fur off one of the dogs....especially near their private parts.

A scandal in my town out in the pampa this morning.
The council chief/mayor has been on the phone to the missus....he used to be a pupil of hers. Seems there's an article in the local rag about work or the lack of it which has closed the access road to the countryside place for the last four months. The diversion forces everyone to use a road which is in a bad state of repair. Anyway, the artice mentions the wife and the mayor wanted to know if she had been interviewed by the journalist. She told him it was the first she'd heard of it. She's now on the phone to the journalist whom she also knows to give him a ticking off!!
The chief thanked the missus and told her it was just the Kirchnerists causing trouble as usual!!

Four new additions to the family. Lobita one of the countryside dogs was indeed pregnant....we thought it might be a false pregnancy given she's now 8 years old and had never been a mum before. She gave birth to six but sadly two died. However I'm glad to say mother and the remaining four pups are doing great.

How cute! Will you soon have four new watchdogs?

The missus was closely examining the pups yesterdy and says three are females which could be a problem. She hopes to find good homes for them but I'm not so sure she'll go through with it. We shall see. Our monthly food bill for all the pets we've got the now is very large.
