I'm playing Watch Dogs 2 and made it to the top of the Golden Gate Bridge where I almost had an attack of vertigo, so Imagine what it must have been like to build it.
And here's the official page for the bridge which makes fascinating reading, not least because hundreds of souls have jumped to their deaths over the years.

Photo taken of the Golden Gate Bridge in 1969 after a layover in Oakland on my way back to Vietnam. It is quite a site to see.

I didn’t know you’d been In Vietnam, daniel . Thank you for your service.
As a military man, what do you think of our withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan? And of the brand new Secretary of Defense and his top level staff, now running things at the Pentagon?

“While Trump reportedly told Miller not to rock the boat and former colleagues offer rave reviews of the former Green Beret, he is surrounded by a coterie of White House loyalists who have developed a reputation for blowing things up. Anthony Tata, who will perform the duties of policy chief, and Douglas MacGregor, Miller’s new senior advisor, have both attracted unwanted attention for conspiracy-minded social media missives and backed Trump’s push for a quick pullout from Afghanistan.”

Did two tours of duty in Vietnam, one in 68 and 69 and another one at the end. I was a 67N20 or a Huey Crewchief, the Army needed all the help they could get, trying
to get people out of harms way. Been in Iraq and Afghanistan for too long already, go in do your job and get the hell out, let other countries fight their own wars.

From playboy to cartonero - the amazing story of Adrian, an architect who used to enjoy the high life in Punta del Este, but now roams the streets of Palermo as a cartonero and sleeps in a shed near Once.
It was striking to see his joy at picking up a working lighter on the street and even more joy at a computer cable which he delightfully put around his waist as a belt. Not to mention the fact that he appears to not be bitter about where he is, except for the fact his children have abandoned him after putting him in a psychiatric hospital, apparently.

Very sad article. He should still be in the psychiatric hospital, receiving help.
