Android phones have a well being feature and my average daily screen time on my phone is 1hr 30mins.
I would say that is not too excessive compared to many others, but what do others think?

My screen time for December was down 11% from November, to 5 hrs and 28 minutes per day.
Main uses of that time? I subscribe to 6 newspapers in addition to local news in New Orleans and BsAs, all of which are online; have weekly zoom mtgs with a group of long-time friends, and participate in this forum, in addition to streaming movies.
My iphone says that I have averaged 2:30 hrs of screen time per day and 120 notifications a day.
My computer says 10 hours a day and 94 notifications
I plan to reduce even my pc consumption as well. I spend far too long on the computer
The screen time of someone I know very well, in his early 20s is probably around 15 hours a day, with no exaggeration.
He's permanently glued to to his phone, complete with earphones, whatever he is doing. Washing the dishes, cooking, showering (so he says, I wasn't there lol) and trying to have an actual conversation with him is no easy task.
Needs a post-covid life. I feel for him.
My screen time is now 1 h 50 m per day on average and Android is telling me that it's 1 h 16 m more than last week's daily average.
Still, I don't consider it excessive and I definitely spend more time in front of the PC.
Mine this week is 6 hrs and 17 minutes. Primarily catching up on newspaper subscriptions and replying to emails and texts. Zero social media besides this forum.
I have one of the wife's old phones...a Samsung J7. It doesn't seem to have this feature....at least I can't find it. However I suspect my daily screen time will be closer to zero than one hour. The missus on the other hand is always using hers.
I average around 2 1/2 hours each day. 90 minutes of that is playing chess, the rest faffing around on messages and checking something online, etc.
Do y’all read news online, instead of holding newspapers in your hands? If online, doesn’t it take you several hours to stay on top of what’s happening in the world?

For news I watch the BBC on the telly.
I use the laptop when I'm going to be online for more than a couple of minutes....I tend to develop a headache when staring at a mobile screen for long periods.

How do you get BBC on TV? Cablevision?
Cablevision does have BBC, CNN, FuxNews, and Al Jazeera, all in English.

Yes BBC World. The presenters, especially the females, are all sensibly dressed rather than the bimbos you see on TV here.
Like UK Man, most of my online stuff is done on laptop, where I spend around 4-7 hours a day (work included in that).
I tend to do my reading from a mobile device (either my phone or iPad) to take a break from sitting in front of the computer. I work on a Desktop computer and I rarely use my laptop because I need a larger screen. However, if the weather is nice and the specific projects allows it, I can use my laptop while lying down on the terrace or on the couch.
