Then it would be ridiculous for y’all to wear face masks at home. Unless, of course, they are carnival masks and you have a weekly clown night, monster night, Cristina night, etc.

Indeed. I can only imagine that advice was for the cretins. Who will of course take F all notice.

I'm not condoning attacks on police, but frankly this 8pm curfew time is pretty outrageous, bearing in mind that many people work till 7pm.
These two men weren't allowed to board a train without a permit and got very angry with the police.

The prefectura navy police actually took a family off a bus and left them stranded on Pueyrredon bridge for the same reason.

This is what happens when badly thought out decisions are taken and let's not even talk about the suspension of school classes, which in reality will become semi permanent.
These arbitrary measures are making people very angry.

Where I live, it gets very busy with nightlife at night. There are bars, pubs, pizzerías, little restaurants and ethnic food places...
70% are open for dinner only. This is their death sentence.
On Thursday evening, we went to our favorite restaurant in Villa Crespo and the owner said she was very worried by the new curfew. Her husband is the cook, she is the server. The whole family relies on the income from the restaurant. They don't open for lunch because nobody has time to go there for lunch. They wanted to keep open.
Yesterday afternoon I stopped for an ice cream at Scannapieco on Niceto Vega. He is usually open from 3PM to midnight. He thrives at night when people order ice cream for dinner. I asked him if he was closing at 7 PM (which is like not even opening for him)... He really wanted to stay open because he needs the money.
My husband met with a friend in Olivos at 3 PM. He came back at 19.40, just in time. He told me the traffic was worse than usual because everybody was rushing home before the curfew. There is more people amassed in a shorter amount of time. Alberto kills more than the virus.

So now they've added more layers of fear to the mix, on top of the fear of contracting the virus.
Fear of being stopped in curfew and fear of losing your livelihood. Banana republic at its worst.

A friend has told us that Alberto had earlier turned down an offer by Pfizer, and was now chasing after help from Russia, China, Cuba.
Can anyone fill in the blanks with more information?

I suspect the blanks contains a ''you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours'' clause. Probably why half the Chinese fishing fleet is fishing down south.

If so, then why isn’t China supplying vaccine to Argentina?

I was told the other day some will be arriving soon.

Argentina has now moved up to #11 in the world.

While China remains close to the bottom.
Farcical.
Such a small country, barely involved in all of this

A Canadian friend sent me a video of this week’s COVID announcements by the provincial premier of Nova Scotia and their chief health officer. Their tone was so low key and non-governmental, more like neighbors speaking with neighbors in a common sense way, but announcing that they’re going into lockdown again, to get ahead of the wave this time. If I understood correctly, he said the province has THREE PEOPLE in hospital!

A very close friend of ours is in a serious condition in hospital. In fact yesterday the doctors said he had a 20% chance of survival. I've never heard of doctors telling families that, but anyway, he managed to pull through the night.
Fingers crossed.

The missus is fuming. All her old school chums and their husbands were today informed to attend the vaccination centre next week to get vaccinated. What's upset her most is the fact most of them registered after she told them how to do it!!
I told her not to worry about it unless we haven't heard anything by the end of next week.
