Give wild chase, of course!
Nope, I'd ignore it because of the chances of the scrote being armed.
By the way, as everyone knows, any tramite (paperwork exercise) here is often a soul-destroying experience, but fortunately this appears to have started well due to the lack of people out and about, so fingers crossed.
But I do wonder why they have to make it so complicated (stupid me!) and believe it or not, my bike has its own file, indicating just how much bureaucracy in this country is handled manually.
All countries handles this differently of course. When I needed to replace a plate back in the UK, I went to Halfords - a car accessories store - showed them my vehicle registration document and bought a plate for about £5 (now £16 each).

That's good to hear @JAN
I'll stick with my $200 plastic version that the printers knocked up for me.

Talk about taking us for a ride!
I turned up at the vehicle registry this morning, signed a few forms, paid $1245 for a new plate and a carnet with permit to ride without a plate.
Check out the cost of the flimsy aluminium plate and all the other charges and I still have to wait three weeks for it. I'll probably keep the new plate in a safe place and carry on with my homemade ones until I get read the riot act.

Look on the bright side . No traffic fines and you are legal again ....

paid $1245
Goodness, what does that translate to US money?

Today, about $15, depending on the exchange (official, tourist, blue dollar, etc). Tomorrow? Who can say....

Never stay seated on your bike when buying petrol.

The bike and I parted company on Wednesday in the rain after tapping the front brakes when a car in front suddenly put its hazard lights on and stopped dead in front of me.
Result: bike goes down on top of me, shoulder and head hit the deck very hard and it's still raining. Anyway, the engine was still running so I flicked the off switch and before I knew it a helpful Venezuelan passer by lifted the bike off me because none of the cars behind me stopped to assist.
I was travelling about 10-15kmh at the time and if that's an indication of force, I pity those that don't wear helmets. The shoulder still bothers me a little, but yesterday the Ibuprofen helped considerably.
Nothing broken, the bike is fine (always is) so I'll be back to deliveries today.
By the way. Paracetamol with an analgesic effect are best avoided if you don't want to spend the day like a zombie. They are incredibly powerful at 500mg.

That sucks, never nice to come off. Happened to me a few times in my younger days both on the mountain scrambling and on the street. Always found the street crashes hurt way more.

Feels better today, so I got back on the horse.

Good for you. I won’t say “Be careful,” because I know that you are. Maybe more helpful would be “”Watch out for the bad drivers out there!”

Everyone's in a hurry and driving with their phones in the other hand.

Even stopping on the motorway is dangerous nowadays because, even with your two friends around you, your bike may be stolen by armed thugs.
Fucking hell.

Corresponds with the increase in carjackings, I guess. Quite scary.

El Noba (Luciano Coronel), a young Cumbia singer, motorcycle fanatic, ex-trapito, brickie and drug addict from Florencio Varela has died following a collision with a car at 144kmh. I only mention this because he wasn't wearing a helmet and even at that speed with a helmet, he would have been lucky to survive.

Noba was becoming quite famous ..quite a sad story.

With six workmen inside and outside the house today, I felt it was safe to leave the bike outside the front gate, one fucking meter from the fence, what with me going in and out all day.
But no, someone ripped the number plate from the metal housing of the bike.
FUCK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
