Watching politicians talking is boringly predictable unless one tells the other they're a f***ing corrupt idiot. I'd watch that.

Soi the surprise guest could be old chicken-neck herself?

in this case I prefer the one armed bandit more......he is so easy in the corner!
Regarding the queen: people are already scared, so nobody wants to tease her I think.....

The wife's just arrived and switched over from BBC World.

I suffered an hour of this bullshit.
Oh boy!

We were spared the drama because we were dancing the night away under la luna llena at a fabulous wedding. No comparison to watching politicians go at each others’ throats -

Drama?
What drama?
The format was quite nauseating actually. Each candidate had 2 mins to blabber on about a subject, then 30 seconds to counter whatever one of the other others had said. Calling it a debate was stretching the definition of that word to the limits. There was no debate.
One of the topics was international relations and at least three candidates banged on about the Falklands and how it would be their primary goal to gain sovereignty over the islands.
Pardon me?
Del Caño couldn't stop frothing at the mouth over his brothers in Ecuador and how we should all stand shoulder to shoulder with comrade Lenin Moreno (real name) against all those nasty capitalist threats.
For entertainment value, it had its moments as @JAN indicated, but as usual the two hours were run by the adjudicators in typical Argie fashion, like a committee on speed.
If anything, Macri came out of it very well and he was definitely the most coherent and forward thinking.
Hold onto your seats, there's another one next week.

Yes I heard the Falklands being mentioned and said to the missus. Considering they have 1001 other far more important things to fix what the hell are they talking about that for? She said something sarcastic back to me.

Sounds to me another thing to blame the others instead of dealing with their own issues.

Chasing the sympathy vote.

I second Splinter recap......
Death boring ......and a debate it wasn't!!!
I expected this: participant A ask participant B a question, giving him 30-60 sec to answer!!!!
Was just bollocks.....
My highlights:
-betting on whether lavagna would finish his sentence and make a point before time is up hahaha.....poor old guy.
-Canos 1 min silence, (better than him talking for sure!)
-Canos panuela Verde and fist for fight hahahaha
-Malvinas bs.......seems like it got trickered
By first remark.....then all the other needed to mention except mm!
It's really pathetic to bring out malvinas....use Google and read.....then u see who the bully aggressor was!
Beside that the death toll really unimportant really......sorry!!!

Fernandez was just just negative the whole way through and came across as a slime ball, second-hand car salesman.
Very hard to take this seriously, but the Argie media seemed to think it was wonderful, which says a lot about it, really.
-
-
.....yep and quite aggressive.....the way how he attacked and pointed his finger several times at Macri!
The guy is creepy.......
Doing a little research and seeing his older interviews accusing cfk of corruption and and and, really shows his character!!!
The guy is far from being a saint!!!!!

Politicians who don’t quite get the fact that their older interviews WILL surface just never cease to leave me shaking my head in wonder.

5 mins on this forum and I spared myself two excruciating hour of Argentine TV on electoral debate!

just had another example of the Peronist bipolarity that is incorporated in their blood:
A friend/conocido of me, (he dont consider me friend, because I call his bluffs on a daily basis... hahaha)
He is in meat business.....30 year old, and belonging to exactly this group of voters who doesn't have a clue about the world outside.
He told me now the meat is so low, that it's hard to make money......same guy told me meat is to expensive now for the poorer people, 6 months ago.......I reminded him about this, but ok.....
Then he explained to me how you could solve this:
You force meat producers to sell a certain percentage inside Argentina, and then u r allowed to export....(to higher prices).
I said to him, why u don't dedicate yourself to selling meat inside Argentina and help your patriots......"ohhh no, I can't make money that way"
Ok, then maybe try to focusing on exporting....."ohhh no, I'm to small for that"
Basically what he is expecting is that the country subsidizes a totally already lucrative business, selling meat overseas, to finance the already 15 times higher meat consumer compared to Germany!
And let's not forget many of these bobos are dancing around on global warming Greta demos at the same time!!!!
I like to speak to him, because it's like having your own little Alberto......
(Btw, at the same time he was googling the Danish Constitution to see how Denmark is ruled and pointed out that it's ruled by a queen......which is totally bollocks and not the case....... anyway that is why Denmark is different in his eyes).
