I don't remember milk in a bag when I lived in Hereford but here it's practically the only way to buy it. It's easy to store and throw around too.
Who buys milk in a bag?

Not sure if milk in a bag has ever been sold in the UK. Saw it in Spain quite a lot and obviously here.
The UK used Tetra for milk when glass bottles disappeared and the molded plastic bottles became the fashion
Here Tetras are used for UHT milk
And the bags for fresh pasteurized milk.
I stand to be corrected on all of the above.

I have a feeling I mentioned the milk in the bag on here before....and I still think it's a pain in the arse. Several times, the last episode was a couple of weeks ago, we've experienced finding burst bags. Either as we pushed the trolley down the aisle leaving a milk trail behind or at check out...usually the girl finds it and I have to go and get another one. The last one was found as we loaded the car out in the street.
Stupid ruddy things especially considering milk isn't exactly cheap.

Its feasible though. I know this guy who buys his wines in bags

I’ve never found milk to be especially cheap in Argentina. I don’t mind milk in bags, as long as they don’t leak. But there’s NO excuse for bags that aren’t ironclad leak proof.
