In the 1960’s, a similar decision must have been made in the US, but on an even larger scale, because in recent decades, the possibility of train travel in towns and small cities is virtually nonexistent. It is a real pity.

There's no easy answer. Our railway station here is located on the outskirts of town so it's a heck of a journey just to get to it in the first place especially if you don't have transport. The train to BA is at some god awful time in the morning and only runs certain days of the week. It's single track with lots of road crossings so crawls along. That's why it takes twice/thrice as long to Buenos Aires as the bus.

As a tourist I have only good memories over the numerous visits I've had to the US. However I can also say the same for every country in the world I've visited....even Wales!!
Not sure if I could live in the US though.

It's a lovely little town with the central attraction being the Juan Manuel Fangio (1911-1995) museum. Himself being five times F1 winner in the 50s.
it's the most impressive Argentine museum I've ever been to and makes you realise what an incredible man he was, later becoming CEO and Chairman of Mercedes Benz Argentina for life until his death.

Straightforward and descriptive review, Splinter .
I’ve never understood why restaurants that participate in package or discount programs don’t get the point that this first contact gives them an opportunity to gain the goodwill of a potential long-time customer who can also tell friends and post reviews that will gain additional new customers.
It sounds as if these people used their gateway to new customers as, instead, a way to turn off their potential income stream from people whose first awareness of the restaurant is a negative one.

TN in the Falkland Islands, 2017.
This particular reporter has a show where he goes everywhere, mainly in Argentina, so it's interesting to see his point of view.

Being of short attention span, when a video of longer than 2 minutes is posted, I often make a mental note to return and watch it later. Then usually forget to do it. But I’m quite interested in the Malvinas, so I took the time to see this TN video. Especially liked the human interest story of the pullover.
I’m convinced that there would be fewer wars if only people had more direct contact with people of the “other side.”
