  • just watching it on C5N...... absolutely a disgrace......how can anybody take the quarantine serious if u at same time allow this????

Beside that: I hope every single of them have the appropriate papers which allow them to move from their house, in case it's more than a few blocks away.......

If not, they belong in prison or to be fined accordingly!!!!

  • Farcical.

Another farce was yesterday when we were entering town at the police roadblock. As they have placed the roadblock too close after you come off Ruta 5 there's not enough room for more than half a dozen cars. Add in a double wagon lorry and you have to stop with your arse sticking out on to the main road.

Thankfully one female copper realised the danger so just waved everyone through without checking any of us.

  • A good friend left his home to be caregiver for his father during quarantine, since the usual caregiver feared she could contaminate his house because of her own contacts, repeated something that is so true in this time:

"Eramos felices y no lo sabiamos."

My mother in laws carer still goes Mon-Sat. Not sure if she still would if the situation here gets worse though. I suspect she would as it's her main source of income and as MIL is going a bit gaga she forgets all about the virus most of the time.

Its so true....I remember some years back I had some strange allergic reaction to eating some meat.....I have had it many times before.....it makes my throat cut of, no food no drinks enter..... breathing ok though.....it last for some hours and my eve is wasted. But that one time it lasted 24+ hours!!!!!! I went to hospital some 4 times...nobody could help or tell what could be the reason......they just gave me intervene liquid to stay hydrated!

I realized how nice it is to be able to drink a glass of water when u r thirsty......!

And at the end of the following day I drove back from hospital and saw a huge beer commercial.....talk about sticking a knife in my heart and twisting it.......

During the 24 hours I did not sleep but try to drink liquid..... anything, water, Tea whatever......nothing pass......until the magic happened from one second to another......I think I bottomed 3 liter of chocolate milk, then starting with coke, then heading to beer...... without going to the toilet once!

So yes, we don't understand how lucky we are sometimes......

  • That must have been terrifying, @JAN . Since you have had this happen multiple times, have you been able to determine whether the reaction is to a particular kind of meat, or whether there are certain repeat conditions? There are somewhat similar meat reactions among people who have been bitten by certain insects, like for instance, the Lone Star Tick (not indigenous to Europe or South America).

  • Rice ......it's something that only happens to me.....always when it happens, f.ex. not happen to my daughter or other friends eating exactly the same.

It happened most times with meat that had been frozen, cordero f.ex.

But also by "fresh" meat....what I guess has been frozen and then is being presented as "fresh".

I also sometimes think it can be some chemical that is used or medicine that the animals have got.

By luck it only happens now and then, and only one time it was that terrifying......but still it ruins my eve completely.....

I have never meet anyone here that had same issue.....and never someone had anything at the same time, eating same meat.....

  • I think you might find this interesting, @JAN . You undoubtedly do not have the exact alpha-gal reaction, which extends also to poultry and even eggs, and seems to consistently give the anaphylactic reaction, not just sporadically, as is your situation. But it is possible that you might have something related to this. Perhaps you could get some information from an allergy specialist.

  • Rice .....

Yes some of the symptoms is similar.....though, I got it many times when I was living in Palermo, without being in nature really.

Also the only really symptoms that happens is the throat, esophagus closes, no food, drink no nothing.....at same time the glands produce saliva like crazy and u feel like spitting/vomiting all the time. Though I never vomit, only have an extreme amount of saliva and need to spit like a crazy......beside that no really other symptoms......!

Also it happens immediately.....but many time I already eat several bites quickly, which seems to make it worse.......but really the allergic reaction is in less than a few minutes.

I'm gonna look into to this, because it really leads me in some direction at least.....

  • Was able to get a pack of red point and tobacco at the barrio obrero kiosko just an hour ago.....i swear i felt i was in a bad 60's spy movie how he sold it to me... looking both ways and telling me it was his last...
