We're lucky as we get our eggs delivered to the door from a producer in the countryside. Have to say the quality in size and colour as well as in taste is always excellent. We order a couple of dozen at a time...have been doing so for years.

It looks as if asparagus season is coming to an end. I would be a little sad, but this means that chauchas will be appearing soon. Any sightings yet?

My wife's obviously not spotted anyway otherwise she'd have bought some if she had. She did buy several artichokes yesterday....what a palaver preparing, cooking and eating they are considering the end result.

I agree on artichokes. Too much trouble.
Tasty, though, with olive oil and fresh lemon juice. -

I bought asparagus yesterday. A nice bunch.
They were in the fridge, so be sure to check it out or at least ask for them if you don’t see them on display.I chauchas yet for me, but plenty of habàs!
