Well those two Fernandez jerks would say that wouldn't they?

There was no political failure, as the engineer is implying, but politicians need to hang their hats on something, no matter how weak the thread.

They need to take a look in the mirror because when the bitch was in power, they used the electric companies for their own political purposes by subsidising power and hiking the prices in percived areas of wealth.

We live riverside of Av. Libertador and overnight we saw our bill double as a result of their socialist wealth tax on power.

Don't get me started on those two.

  • Great breakdown (no pun intended) of the situation, serafina. Mr. Fernandez’ demanding that the people be given their electricity back betrays an appalling lack of understanding of the very concept of electricity. His Fernandez running mate might well bark “Bad information!”)

Reminds me of the guy who couldn’t grasp the concept of a calorie, which he envisioned as similar to a peppercorn.

Crowning your already demonstrated teaching prowess was this jewel: “Electrons used to do what they wanted under the Ks. Now Mr. M. had them straightened! =O  But if Fernandez wins they can go back to smoking joints and living la vida criolla.

    Bravo!

(Or should I have just hit the “like” button? 😉)

Is it socialism or opportunism? We spend time in a beach community, where every repairman and delivery service openly charges more for their services on the beach side of the road. I assure you none of these capitalists are thinking like socialists, but are opportunistically calculating that the customers will simply have to pay.

Cristina’s crass calculation could have been similar. Were you going to buy your electricity elsewhere?

As President Clinton bluntly replied when asked why he’d had an affair with a 22-year-old intern, “Why? Because I could.”

Not the same in Buenos Aires but one thing I've found most strange since living in my town is how the 'classes' aren't separated/segregated as they are in the UK. We live in a street where within inches you have a large house occupied by high earners yet next door you have a low earner who lives in a tiny house that's seen better days.
