The SUBE card is a great invention, but be aware that charging it should be free of charge. However, most manned kioskos ask for a nominal fee to charge your SUBE. It bothers me, even if it is just a few pesos.
Places to charge your SUBE for free:
- At kioskos' with automatic terminals
- At train / subway stations
- Online with online banking* (only with Banco Ciudad, Banco Provincia, Banco La Nación for now)
- Online with pagomiscuentas.com *accepts only Argentinian cards
- At lottery agencies
- Online on mercadopago.com.ar *only through the app, which should also accept foreign cards, and anyway you'll need to access a terminal to upload the funds on the card
- At ATM terminals
