This week we were in the unfortunate need of emergency veterinary care three times and I would like to commend the Clínica Veterinaria del Labrador in Almagro (Corrientes 4545, Tel. 4863 0700). They attend 24/7, between 9PM and 9AM there is a surcharge for urgent care, from 9AM to 9PM is regular care for regular prices. They also sell food (mostly Royal Canin and premium brands), medications and accessories during regular hours. They also have a pensionado pet service.
Dra. Silvina Gomez -- who owns the clinics together with his husband, also a practicing veterinarian there -- is an excellent veterinarian and she takes time to explain what is her line of thought and what she wants to proceed in a certain way. She also took charge of the follow up and we had to visit her daily with our foster cat. She is very competent and has excellent manners with pets and owners alike. The clinics is also equipped to intubate, has a sonogram, oxygen tanks, a whole OR, etc. unlike other guardias veterinarias which just has had IV fluids, pen, and paper.
