Remember The Prisoner by Patrick McGoohan. Here he is being interviewed about the series and I can't help but relate to the concept that we are all prisoners in one way or another and definitely more so than in 1977.
Here's the entire series:

With the influx of illegal and undocumented migrants, this scenario becomes more real, everyday, but what does the world
gain if the US does fall?
Chaos would ensue.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility, people.
That Randy Andy interview.
If you still get excited about Argentina winning the World Cup, these are worth a watch.
English subtitles available?
Only Spanish subs I'm afraid.
Un Cuento Chino is a 2011 Argentine film starring Ricardo Darin and is about a lonely, very ordered man who runs a hardware shop (ferreteria).
Unbelievably, it's not available in Argentina on Prime Video. I've seen it before, but it's definitely worth watching again.
The correct English translation for Un Cuento Chino is in fact, A Tall Tale, so how they ended up with this translation is anyone's guess.
I found it on Star+
This soldier was apparently awarded a medal by the British as well as the one he received from Argentina:
QuoteDisplay MoreOscar Ismael Poltronieri was 18 years old and illiterate, for his combat actions during the battle of "Cerro Dos Hermanas" in the Malvinas War, who was a machine gun operator, and ignoring the order to retreat and remaining fighting alone, he allowed all his comrades (more than 100 soldiers including his superiors) to retreat to safe areas and firing at the enemy with his only muzzle. He prevented the advance of the entire British offensive device for more than 10 hours.
For this act he received the medal "La Cruz de la Nación Argentina al Heroico Valor en Combate" and is the only "Living" conscript soldier to receive the highest decoration awarded by our Nation.
After the war, Oscar tried to commit suicide, sold trinkets on buses and worked as a taxi driver.
But the most important thing was that British soldiers and officers sought him out to express their admiration for him and he was decorated in England with the "Iron Cross for Valour".
In our country's schools the pupils "don't" know him, "don't" know who he is.
The story is to tell, to narrate the events, facts, together with his characters, the real protagonists. By telling and sharing it we collaborate with the wonderful process of building the memory and the honour of a people, of an "Argentine" Nation and its transmission to the generations.
It seems I can no longer ready articles in DCT because they have detected my ad blocker, and rely on ad income.
Is Faraway Downs on Disney+, a channel that we don't subscribe to? Or, I hope, additional outlets? It looks very good.
It's on Star+ I just discovered.
As for the ad blocker, all you have to do is pause it on DCT, job done.
Adblockers severely dent ad income, but it's a two edged sword because I block ads on YouTube but that's a different matter.
This Aussie series looks fascinating and reviewed by my DCT collegue, Jim, who is an Aussie himself.
Directed by Roman Polanski and better known as J'accuse.
I'm looking forward to this!
One Life is a 2023 biographical film of British humanitarian Nicholas Winton, starring Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn as Winton.[2] Winton helped groups of Jewish children in German-occupied Czechoslovakia to hide and flee in 1938–39, just before the beginning of the war.
Napoleon.
Michael Caine still going strong at 90!
I’d really like to see this too. But enough to subscribe to Disney+ ??
Only on Disney+ and Hulu by the looks of it.
This should work...
The actual trial of members of the military juntas of the 70s and 80s.
Guillermo Francella is one of my favourite Argentine actors and this looks great. Filmed entirely in Buenos Aires apparently.
Looks fascinating. I hope there are English subtitles.
It's excellent and yes, there are subtitles.
Here are some to look out for next year, particularly Napoleon.
