Cloud Forest of NW Argentina 10
This is a collection of photos I took recently along a new road which links the Quebrada de Humahuaca to Calilegua Cloud Forest in Jujuy province, and opens up a great new circuit linking two completely different eco-systems. I say "new": the road actually opened in October 2019, but a combination of work, summer rainy season (and the resultant landslides) and finally Covid prevented me from doing a recce until recently. There are 15km of new road between Santa Ana, at the end of the RP73, roughly 120km from Humahuaca, and Valle Colorado, the start of the RP83 which snakes through Calilegua Cloud Forest and comes out at Ledesma (Lib San Martin) on RN34.
