Turns out Mr. Johnson did not go quietly (surprising, that, no?). He wrote a public letter that would allow any astute reader to imagine how much better he would have handled it than Ms. May.
But written in all modesty, eh?

Oh Lawsy. The "It's All About Me" era of politicians at work. Not that politicians haven't always been opportunist and, well, political.....
Good summation, Splinter .
Johnson's resignation, following Davis's, certainly isn't helpful to PM May. Is there validity in their charge that she was giving away too much to the EU with little in return, or is this just a period when insecure heads of state are giving away the ranch before truly negotiating? Lack of experience certainly isn't HER problem, though, nor would I think she would cozy up just in order to be liked by the other side.
Boris Johnson quotes Keats? U.S. Leaders blast out tweets!
Just as the US is turning inward and abdicating its former leadership position in the world, Johnson suggests that the UK should rediscover South America and expand its trade with the LATAM countries.
I'm not in the Boris Johnson fan club, but in this regard, I agree wholeheartedly. Trade with South American countries is an expansion possibility too often overlooked by the US and the UK, which, post-Brexit, just might be wise enough to remedy that situation.
All breathing a sigh of relief that he accomplished this important small gesture without verbal accompaniment?
