Very interesting, and disappointing.
When I read what you said, "anyone could claim his parents were disappeared," this made me think: anyone without imagination could do this, assuming they are gone. But it would take real genius to successfully claim one's parents were disappeared if they were alive and well and functioning in full view!

I don’t think the Madres are the only ones trying to reunite the children, @JAN , and even though the numbers are usually inflated, it is my feeling that every child who finds his relatives is a success story.
I don’t for a minute condone the atrocities of the Montoneros. But I think we can agree that the stolen infants were innocent and deserve any chance to learn who their families are.
