A very proud moment indeed, not only for the USA, but the entire human race. A testament to what humans can do if they can quit fighting long enough. and work together, Sadly though, at that moment in time 50 years ago, I was stationed in a faraway place called Phu Loi, Vietnam, making daily flights, on a H Model Huey, with a M60 pinned between my legs, and dangling out of the door saying "clear left" to the pilot. Did not even know of the Apollo 11 launch until I was back in-country. Loved the video!!!

The problem with virtual machines is that you can't play games on them. Okay, maybe Solitaire but not native 3D games. For that, you would need a full install of Linux and then use Wine.

Probably will never do a Windows virtual machine but I will probably do some Linux Distros that I think I might like. I have XP, W7 and W10 installed on different drives and Mint 18.3 installed on a 120GB SSD. Just thought I would use Linux to boot my PC , and play with it for awhile, I can still boot into Windows with the Grub boot loader. I installed the VMware Player because I prefer it over Virtualbox for virtual machines.

Download the VMware Player for Linux.argentinaexpats.org/index.php?attachment/1208/

My downloads go into my Downloads Folder. Check to see if the VMware Player Bundle is their.argentinaexpats.org/index.php?attachment/1209/

Open terminal and type " cd Downloads " to change the directory.

After in ~/Downloads $ type " ls " to list contents

You should now see the VMware Player Bundle download

While at the ~/Downloads $ type " sudo sh

    VMware-Player-15.1.0-13591040.x86_64.bundle

or whatever the newest VMware version might be. I usually type the sudo sh and copy and paste the bundle file

Hit enter and the install should begin, answer a couple of ? and VMware Player should install to your Linux OS.

sudo is for elevated privileges and sh opens the script file.

The Player is free for non-commercial use

Now I will buid me a XP virtual machine, or maybe a W10 virtual machine.

This is all BS, and after every incident like this blame is always put on something else. Each individual is responsible for their own action, plain and simple. For every action their is a reaction, point a gun at someone and pull the trigger and someone or something will usually get hurt. If I were one of the victims or victims family member, yes, I would have questions and want answers but I am afraid the answers might not be what I want to hear.

What is the actual situation? Are all free dogs stray? Should I have picked up that cutie?

I believe the situation her is that most owners could care less. We have neighbors that live across the road and they have taken in several strays, the dogs will sometimes visit with us but they always go home. They have one Bassett hound that belongs to the whole neighborhood.

To keep Windows and Linux timed synced this three commands can be used.

    timedatectl set-local-rtc 1 --adjust-system-clock

(The 1 will disable rtc time and change Linux to use local time)

    timedatectl

(This will check to see if rtc time is enabled)

    timedatectl set-local-rtc 0 --adjust-system-clock

(This will set Linx back to rtc time)

Windows uses local time and Linux uses Real Time, I find it easier to change Linux time by using the command line.

For setting Locales use this command

    sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive

For Grub update use this Command

    sudo update-grub

And the commands I use the is most

    sudo app-get update

    sudo app-get dist-upgrade

    sudo app-get autoclean

I have Linux Mint installed on a 120GB SSD and use it to boot the PC. No telling how many good PC's have been trashed because of Windows and users not wanting to try and learn Linux. I find it not a case of which is better, but if one is able to run older hardware and software with Windows then Linux will give one a chance to run an updated OS , and it is free.

My Wife and I have taken in several strays that seem to chose us for their well being, but they always respond when given love and attention, Some have passed on but we still have a couple of dogs.

I still run XP for some software compatibility but for building a dedicated XP PC just for gaming??? I can think of more reasons and problems of why not to build a XP based PC platfrom than to build one.

This Dutch lady is riding her Royal Enfield Himalayan bike around the world and in this video she's riding alongside the border of Afghanistan and Tajikstan.

Check out the little children at 10 mins which is heart-warming.

Looked like some pretty rugged terrain!!! I did not see any girls with the children? Did I miss them?
