The rain total for yesterday and so far today has well exceeded 100mm and it's still pissing down. Had no internet when I got up but it came back on five minutes ago.

Thunderstorms arrived here an hour ago with no sign of them buggering off anytime soon. Not good news for the soya harvest.

I wish the UK stayed out this time but there we are. We can't help ourselves.
Maybe Argentina is something of a safe haven from all this shit too close to home in the UK.
Steady on.....we've had to up with loads of shit over the years. Just of a different kind.

Was planning to have a lie-in this morning but the thunderstorms put paid to that idea. Very noisy.

I suspect they knew most if not all of the drones/missiles would be intercepted.

I just did the VTV (MOT) on the bike today and the price has quadrupled from a month ago.
Is that just for bikes over a certain engine size?

It'll be Chicken plus Beef empanadas for me tonight....with a can of Quilmes pisswater.

Except me.
Lucky you.

thanks all. glad i'm not alone, haha!
i was a resident for about 6 years until last year when i moved to a new work assignment. but i still keep up with the news and happenings in arg, my partner is argentine so it's likely she and i will be back for visits often. who knows, maybe move back again someday if things stop being so crazy
Most of the blokes here married Argentine lassies as well.

I love your positive spin, UK Man !
It must be a younger lookalike.

Welcome.
You're better out of that place. It seems to be inhabited by mostly fictitious people with the aim of keeping Argentina in the third world.

Impressive to have grown a full tree from seed. Nice to have those even with a lower yield crop.
They grow so easily here nature does the job for you.

If you haven't seen the Terminator first two movies, and last one, you might not get this irony
I didn't.

This one is better.
Dare I say it.....she actually looks quite sexy in that pic.

They look perfect. An Avocado tree must be great to contribute to meals. It was already there, or you planted?
We have several all grown from seed. First one is around 15 years old and about 10 metres tall. It hasn't fruited at all well this year.

you came late to the party, GlasgowJohn ! UK Man ordered all of it.
Indeed.

Avocados here are selling for US $1 - $2.50 here. What about in Argentina?
Think the missus saw them for sale at $1000 each last week.
