I don't think it was him because that post is by somebody in Buenos Aires Sur, while my acquaintance lives further south. He sells in Mar del Plata but he lives and cultivates his mushroom in Necochea. In Mar del Plata there is a big vegan scene, both with proper restaurants, puertas cerradas and homemade by the order. Every weekend there is an informal market where various producers sell their produces, which range from vegan versions of the Argentinian classics (vegan milanesa, bondiola, chorizo, matambre, dulce de leche), cakes and sweets, breads and pastry (pepas, chipá, pizza, vegetable pies etc.)
So this guy drove to Mar del Plata (130 km) every 10-15 days to deliver his mushrooms. He advertised on a vegan groups and he couldn't put up with the requests as they were too many!
I told him to come to Buenos Aires to sell his mushrooms, since they are good for about 10-15 days once harvested, but it is my understanding that he wanted to live in the calmness of Necochea since he had already spent a few years in Buenos Aires.
I explained that Portobellos are huge in the vegan scene in Buenos Aires, as the scene is divided between champignons and portobellos.
We did the mushrooms either sautée with white wine, garlic, and parsley or fried. Fried mushrooms are a real treat!!!

I like the weather and the opportunities that foreigners find here. It was a real eye-opener for a small town girl like me.
I met people making a living out of small enterprises, for example, in Mar del Plata I met a French guy cultivating mushrooms! They were so cheap and we ate one kilogram in two days for just 200 pesos! It was a steal!

Coming soon: delivery by drones.
That would solve the issue, provided they can stand the wind currents on the Rio de la Plata on they way from Uruguay.

Thank you! Let's hope the iOS version will be released soon.
I am currently using the paid Tapatalk app for iPhone and it doesn't sync with my computer, meaning that I see notifications on post that I have already read and commented. It is also not clear why I get posts from other forums on the app main page, I think they are similar posts based on my interests.
I am on another forum where kins are used. They are sort of points you can give to useful contributors as a thank you. These point can be redeemed to buy the VIP access, remove ads, etc.

I would really like to see this happen. Although it was proven we can live without some first world products, it is not a reason good enough to renounce to them.

Yes that's maybe funny....if you didn't know that the British was behind the war at Malvinas......James Bond strategy to surpress the indiginos of Argentina
I am not sure I follow this extermination plan. Are you saying that the islands are occupied by the Brits waiting to destroy native South Americans living in the mainland?
Or that during the war in the '90s the Brits wanted to kill native Americans on the islands? Didn't the Spaniards kill many more, both there and here on the mainland?
I am not sure I follow 'native Argentinians' living on the islands, since people living on the islands were there well before Argentina even existed as a country. Or do you mean Spanish-descendants who colonized the islands first? People living there must have come from somewhere.

I spotted these electric Grin Scooters around my area, so I googled and chatted with their customer service to find out more.
These Electric Scooters have a 25 km autonomy and are available to anybody through the Rappi app in Argentina (it is a partnership). The scooters are
abandonedavailable all over Palermo right now, which is the only area where they can circulate per Grin policy. They are designated for use on bike lanes and the main road, and go up to 20-30 km/h. In Argentina it is mandatory to wear a helmet when riding Grin.Grin scooters are available 7AM to 7PM, if the weather allows. It is not clear to me how they are remotely disabled in case of rain.
They come with a tag displaying a QR code. The rider should read said code with his/her mobile phone, using the Rappi app.
Then he/she hops on the scooter and with the help of one foot start to move it, like riding a skate. Subsequently, the rider can accelerate and decelerate by using the handles or small pedals on the side of the back wheels.
Once you are over with your ride, you should read again the tag on the scooter to register you're done.
There is a 15 pesos pick-up fee, plus a 8 pesos/minute fee, which makes it 450 pesos per hour (shy of 10 dollars, right now). The reported average usage abroad is between 10 and 15 minutes.
The first 10-minute ride is FREE.
Grin is available in several countries in North and South America. However, in the US people get paid to charge Grin scooters at night. In fact, I saw in a documentary a California surfer who collected and charged grin scooters for an extra income. The customer service agent I chatted with said this is not yet an option in Argentina, so it is not clear to me how Grin scooters get charged.
What happens in case of road accident is unknown, as well. I am curious (and afraid) to try one, before they all get vandalized/stolen.

Unfortunately, everything that is written on that article is true.
Also that historical city centers in Italy have become shady at night, as foreigners are hanging outside kebab shops, drinking beer and using the streets as public restroom (this pastime, is common to Italians). They play drums and scream and sing all night, until 2AM or later. The police is outnumbered and cannot make them stop or move. The same scene repeats night after night.
My father lives in a small city of about 40k inhabitants, a few meters from the main square, and tells me these things. He often told me he doesn't feel safe at night in the street (this has never been a problem). Also people living in smaller places tell me the same.
I myself have seen these people hanging in the streets and historical places doing nothing, screaming on the mobile (are they really calling somebody all the time?), arguing among themselves, getting drunk.
Many immigrants cannot find jobs so they hang out in the squares, on the steps of churches, near ethnic shops, and beating the time drinking.
City administrations have tried several measures to try to contain this phenomenon, including forbidding to sell glass bottles after 9 PM or to sit on church's steps. This thing of closing ethnic shops after 9PM follows this path.
Italy never had an immigration policy, so new arrivals haven't been able to integrate properly. They are outcast and the crippled local economy doesn't help, either.
In Italy, there has always been a great deal of rivalry between nearby towns (since the middle age), and between the north and the south (since we are one nation). It is sad to see that the only thing uniting us is racism.

Macri was the first non-Peronist president in almost a century. The Peronism crippled the country.
I have not enough knowledge to be able to fully analyze his government, but at least it didn't make me laugh like the previous one, which to me looked like a teenage party.
I wish there were more 'outsiders' like us laughing to the face of Peronists as many Argentinian aren't able to appreciate the ridiculousness of their doings and behaviors.

Now THAT’S scary. In what way?
Racist outings on people of non-white ethnicities, to put it mildly.

We're having elections today and tomorrow in Italy. Candidates remind me of history books on WWI and II.

We have Telecentro in Capital and I think we have some TV deal, but we never watch TV, just Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The more Telecentro calls us to upgrade our TV package, the more free trial time we get on TV. I think we have never paid for it to this date. We are genuinely not interested in TV, and always tell the Telecentro guy we just want the internet and he/she throws in a basic TV package.
We pay about 1100 ARS for Internet 100 MB. It is a discount deal that my husband got over the phone for some unknown reason. The connection is good, we experience some downtime once per month.

My Uncle Vito will take care of it for you for free.
He just likes to stay in practice.
Dumping ruins the industry!
