Have a great day all Scots, all people who love Scots, all people who love Scotland, and all people who love Scotch!
That covers a lot of ground!

It’s certainly counterintuitive, but there are people in American history who have run campaigns for office from jail cells.
It is a terrifying situation! Is ANYTHING being done to stop it?
You are the best, most detailed planner, Sarran1955 ! Your trip should be very interesting. Please keep us informed!
If convicted, can she still run for office?
Enjoyed the article, Splinter . We use the gps built into our car, but would be smart to also follow along with WAZE, which gives actual traffic problems and suggests ways to avoid them. Had we used WAZE this wkend, we would have been saved a 55-minute detour.
This guy is WAY too into his theory -
Lucky you, to have had the cityscape to yourself, and then to have arrived JUST in time!
Thanks, GlasgowJohn . It’s a beautiful day - sun shining, lake glistening, about a hundred white pelicans gathered to fish, and ARGENTINA JUST WON!
My husband is SO happy that, today being his birthday, he can watch Argentina in the World Cup, then two consecutive American football games this afternoon and tonight, with no argument from anyone!
I envy soccer fans the 90 minute game time . American football stretches on endlessly, ending after an eternity, in the neighborhood of 4 hours.
Un fathomable.
And how can it be the fault of both political parties, when one continues to introduce legislation on background checks, bans on automatic weapons, etc, only to have all bills voted down by the Party of Guns?
I loved their collaborative joke telling, their timing, and their obvious enjoyment even more than the punch line!
Although I have enormous appreciation for the players’ ability to ride and simultaneously hit that tiny ball while fending off other high speed challengers, I don’t know enough about polo to find it very interesting. But the whole festive atmosphere surrounding the Palermo polo field, and the preternaturally subdued applause of the fans, both make an afternoon there quite enjoyable.
Utter madness, indeed. You would think that voters would turn on the political party that stops all attempts at even the most obvious gun safety legislation, wouldn’t you?
Perhaps in 2029, when there’s not a family left who hasn’t lost a member to military-style automatic weapon mass murder? Or in another few years, will even massacres be acceptable? Or are they already acceptable?
The whatty?
The Welsh forerunner of a kid’s hobby horse.
And I should correct my earlier observation that, after saying beer would be available at the World Cup, Qatar changed their minds and, just before the opening match, announced that they wouldn’t be selling beer after all.
It seems that the ordinary fan can’t buy beer in the stadium, but people in the executive club boxes (membership US$22,500.00) are served alcohol.
Do they take the Mari Lwyd along?
Take Miami. Please! Take it!
