I found this thread interesting. It shows how the intensity of hatred is so deeply rooted and no reasonable attempts to discuss the issue are possible. That is just one random guy on a forum. Imagine the total hatred that exists on both sides of the dispute and you can see no possible resolution.

Are there any floating restaurants? I mean ones that you can dine on and see the sights as the boat sails along?
I'd rather like that.
I don't know of any but possibly Sturla organise trips occasionally. I prefer just to be in one place and watch all the different boat coming and out. Rio Pajarito has a few decent restaurants and is quite close to Tigre.

We try to go to the Delta most weeks and have been to nearly all the restaurants in the first and second section. Unfortunately I haven't been to Atelier Chez Lissie for many years so can't comment on how it is now.
You can get boats (lancha colectivas) from the Terminal Fluvial de Tigre which is next to the last stop on the Mitre train line. You would need to study a timetable to see which ones pass by the Rio Capitan for the Atelier Chez Lissie.There are also many booths in the port selling tickets for restaurants that run transport for their customers. Water taxis are also available.
The best way is obviously to own a boat which gives you better flexibility on time and location.
Restaurants on the Delta tend to be expensive but a great escape from the city. -

When we lived in Asia (Philippines and Taiwan) having weevils in rice was quite common. Newcomers to the country saw weevils in a bag of rice and threw the whole lot out. Those that had been there longer put the rice in water, the weevils and eggs floated to the surface and were skimmed off before cooking the rice. Those that had been there a long time cooked the rice, weevils and all. As you say, protein.

Most of the forums I used have moved over to Discord. Those that have kept a forum running as well as Discord have very little activity on the original forum.

Go to the guardia and explain the problem and they should manage to fit you in to see a dermatologist right away, between appointments. At least it works that way in Sanatorio Las Lomas in San Isidro.

Mosquitoes all day or only when the sun went down?
I have never been bothered by mosquitoes there unless we go out to a restaurant at night and they bite you around the ankles. During the day, nothing.

We have our own boat so we usually just try different places each week. Very few people realise the size and the scope of the Delta. A map I have shows over 30 schools only accessible by boat, so when you add to that the restaurants, chapels, police and prefectura stations etc etc. the Delta is itself like a city with rivers and canals instead of roads. Argentine friends of mine who I take out for day trips are quite astonished and unaware what is on their doorstep. Most have taken a short trip from Tigre in a catamaran, and think that's all there is to see.
The picture above of Puerto la Pista is quite flattering. There is a stretch of sand, a restaurant selling OK food and some cabins, a few which seem to be fairly well equipped with air conditioning. There is nothing much to do there except sit by the water and pretend you are in the Caribbean. We usually just go, have a meal and a drink then head for home. It looks like a great place for families with small children. To moor my modest boat cost 2000 Pesos but I imagine there is no daily charge for those arriving by public boat transport.I am reluctant to recommend anywhere as everyone has different likes and dislikes, but I can give you our personal opinion of most places on the Delta.

We spend at least one day on the Delta every week and I have been to most places. I would recommend these places with beaches.
