If this can be scaled up it will be more important than all currently-known alternative energy sources - and producing it cleans the atmosphere of greenhouse gasses!

I had a Honda and apparently missed out on a lot of brand rewards.

I have Fb pages advertising my business and Facebook as as feature that displays to the world how long is your average response time. Of course, clients like to receive prompt replies and consider Facebook messaging like chatting with the customer service of a multinational, whereas I am just a freelancer. So I have to reply even if it is 2 AM or my 'average response time' would be increase.
AirBnb had the same thing in place, and some professional hosts did outsource customer service to dedicated services able to cover shifts 24/7. Apparently, prompt reply is a key factor in modern businesses. But in Argentina, I believe they haven't yet found it out and who does it, does it because they want to (or let the clients get it for free).
“Prompt reply” is an unknown concept in Argentina. As an extra bonus, try calling Carlos the plumber to learn why he didn’t come by yesterday at 0900 as agreed.

Wasn’t all that long ago that they all walked, always.
But it’s good to know that there’s at least one place in the world peaceful enough that something like this is news. Hooray for Hereford!

“People are buying cars and motorbikes that they won’t even be able to fill with petrol when the price of vanilla crashes,”
But I will have my Costco ice cream again.
So fuck ‘em.

Thought you’d like it.

I'm clearly missing something here. Does Costco sell ONLY vanilla? Meaning that ice cream is no longer available in your store? Or is it that your love affair is with vanilla only? I went back to try to read every clue in this thread, but my eyes glazed over.
They offered only one house-branded ice cream product: a box containing two half-gallon tubs of super-premium vanilla ice cream.
-
How about chocolate?
Apparently I communicated very badly if I gave the impression that flavor was the issue. CruiseJunki has it right: Costco, although known popularly as a discount warehouse business, is actually a purveyor of high-quality products, first and foremost. Their ice cream is legitimately of super premium grade. Here’s what that means. Read especially the first review.
And it’s gone now. Oh, woe!

I do not have the courage to attempt this. In my house it’s quite possible that physical damage could be done between the “graphics card?” moment and the reveal.

What a spineless, pathetic character. The islands are well rid of him, regardless of which side he embraced at any given time. I never understand why people like him don't take their cue from the nazis who slimed their way into other countries after WWII:. They kept a low profile and no one noticed them. This guy, on the other hand, prefers to light himself up with klieg lights.
Klein lights are hot; they can burn if one insists on being too close.

The logic of this procedure is just stunning in its implications. As you said, Rice, outwitting the little bastards instead of trying to poison them - I’m overwhelmed by the simplicity and brilliance of the concept.
Back to earth, though. Says it’s only effective in a portion of cases.
Still.

Breathtaking, indeed, Splinter ! Especially stunning to see the great distances and dramatic changes of direction before some of the strikes hit ground.
Thanks SpaceNut for your Venezuela lightning video. Lake Maracaibo-- who'd have thought? Maybe Maduro can figure out a way to turn this into money, and save the country whose demise he hastened?
Or go there, fit a good grounding cable to his ass, and try to find enlightenment from his little Chavez-bird while enjoying the show.

I weep at the unfairness of it all.
And suffer mightily while trying unsuccessfully to find an acceptable substitute.

50, with or without interest?

I can only think of one member of this forum (former) who would think this was a tragedy.
-
No. Don’t even need to see my own. (That’s why I edited it.)

got a decent 4 yo TV but not too smart....
the boss wants to buy a new one . I am trying to hold off.
That’s silly.

Could I be becoming a Boris Johnson fan after all this time?
Probably not, but he seems to be making an impressive amount of sense these days. Of course he’s his government’s spokesman, so does that mean we should extend the warmer feelings to PM May?
