I think I read that US notaries cannot notarize outside of their jurisdiction (except the US notary at the embassy).

The alternative route I have heard about is: Argentine notary, then legalize and apostille. Cumbersome but works if the easy embassy alternative is not viable.

Some US states have online notarization services, but if your document is not for that same States, I believe you are out of luck.

Very cumbersome. But, check if an Argentine notarization is enough sans apostille. It's worked for me.

A short blurb on the subject here. TL;DR no sane notary will do this.

morganf browsing around this website is a rabbit hole you might enjoy going down.

I do airline tickets, car rental, hotels, cruises, insurance, and all-inclusive packages.

If you want great service and low prices, look no further.
I also sell local SIM cards for several countries.

I did some research and came to the opposite conclusion, and I'm going to get the papers I need notarized via NotaryCam: https://www.notarycam.com -- and I already confirmed that the entity I need to give the notarized paper to accepts NotaryCam so voila, problem solved.

What's the solution, specifically? NotaryCam just does a live video conference between you and a notary. You hold up your ID so they confirm its you, and they watch you digitally sign it. Bam. Just like a cam girl but instead of xxxx-ing together, you're doing a hot notarizing session together.

You may be wondering, "How is this legal?" and the answer is.... all of the notaries who work for NotaryCam are Virginia notaries. ANd guess what? Virginia passed a law a few years ago, allowing Virginia notaries to notarize papers via webcams. Boom! Read more: https://www.notarycam.com/legal/

Bam. Next time you need a notary, you can do it in your underwear. THank me by inviting me for a drink ;)

  • Let's hear more about the camgirl options.

I knew about it, but I couldn't recall the specific State which allows this. However, I wasn't even sure that you can use whatever notary, regardless of their State or the purpose.

I am glad you worked it out.
