Late notice for fans of meteor showers -- in South America, the Lyrids are at their peak between midnight and dawn, so dash out and enjoy!

In case I posted this too late for you to catch the show this time, this article includes a schedule for upcoming meteor showers. Next up: the Eta Aquarids, peaking on May 6.

There was a storm last night on Buenos Aires, so no meteor shows for us. We will mark our calendar on May 6th.

If Lyrids means “liquid,” then I saw them up close last night.

I think that those phenomena could only be seen in the coutryside, where the atrmosphere is not influenced by the light of the cities, that means to be at least 100 miles outside Buenos Aires.

The best place could be the high mountains, far from pupolated areas.
