Erm, does this have something to do with the Fishermen’s Club? Something to pop the eyeballs out of the poor little fish?

Started to pack up my things, albeit, not everything will be packed up yet. There's still life in this place. In case you didn't know, I've been given the heave-ho out of this place where I've been living for the last four years. Had great memories, but mostly annoying tenants/housemates, breaking rules left, right and centre. The agency didn't have the whim to want to kick them out. Anyhoo, I'm off to pack more stuff away. It's going to be a long painful process, especially for my back, lol

Found a new place to live, now I begin to move in next week.
I have really got to get rid of a lot of stuff. Just hope that instead of people messing me on ebay, that I can just get rid of the things I don't use or haven't touched in years, like my Yamaha keyboard, not to mention a few other things

Taking longer than expected, but should be up in a week's time once I've sorted out what things go on eBay, charities and what gets, erm....dumped

Saw them earlier out here in the Province. Thankfully all we got was a bit of small hail and a ten minute rain shower. 30C and very humid...hate it. Cool wind blowing now which is great.

The entire sky was bright yellow, a situation that reminded me of the opening scene in The Wizard of Oz, just before Dorothy was caught up in the tornado that took her to Oz.
Great photo, by the way!

'Good for the garden' as my grandmother used to say.
We had 50mm from about 5am to 10am so not as bad as they forecast. I lost a lot of sleep as our greyhound doesn't like the noise so I had to get up and comfort the big softy.

I went out on my 10th floor balcony last night I guess it was around 3-4 am, it was biblical. However, it did not seem to be accompanied by as much wind as usual (sometimes going on my balcony is almost frightning).

Couldn’t have ventured out on the balcony during that storm: dramatic enough, just to hear the wind howling and the rain lashing at the windows.
The building behind us has several inches of rain standing on the flat roof -

Effectively settled in, but feels like I've got a whole lot of things to do
Internet is naff, the central heating also naff at the moment and making strange noises after a certain amount of time on, which isn't good. I wonder if the landlord bought the place on a buy to rent situation, didn't look at all the problems that were for the place.
Also, back from a really good holiday in Almería, Spain, while I was out there with family, caught three fish from the sea. But unfortunately, didn't get to eat it because, I had to put it in the freezer to get rid of some of the bacteria or spores that are unhealthy for human consumption. So, the family are or have enjoyed a free meal on my behalf

I hope your heating and internet problems are soon resolved, SpaceNut .
Was it the particular kind of fish that required freezing? I know that fish that is going to be served raw must be frozen to kill any parasites, but never hear of any fish that needed to be frozen before cooking. Your family must have been toasting in your direction, from Almería!

A friend of mine suggested I freeze also raw meat. But I wonder if a thawed tartare would taste the same...

Woke up in a pool of sweat at 0630 this morning and felt freezing cold. In fact I still do and it's nearly 30c outside, so let's hope I can shake it off, whatever it is.

I've been a bit chesty the last few days. The missus always blames the smoking but I blame the amount of dust blowing about the countryside dirt roads. You can hardly see in front of you every time a car thunders by the place.
