Cow loose in Temperley which fortunately has found a new home at an animal sanctuary. He was headed for the abattoir originally.

A mate from Scotland who now lives in Canada was flying home today after a funeral in Glasgow. He has been diverted to god only knows where and he has no idea when he will get home.

Very icy, and windy, apparently. Still, I’ve never seen a plane flip over upon landing. Glad everyone is off the plane and apparently no life-threatening injuries.

It seemed to touch down at an odd angle.

Maybe the low temperature helped prevent the fuel from vaporising?

The videos show the fire trucks spraying the flames just before and while people are exiting. That was a big flame burst shown in the bystander video that captured the initial crash and flip. Maybe not much fuel to burn after the trip from Minnesota?

Been a good boy today and accompanied the missus to the 8pm church service. Unusually it was held out in the street as it was a celebration of something. Good job the weather behaved itself.

Looks like at least one less Sunday asado following the end of Carnival.

The Chivilcoy car rally was on at the weekend. As usual part of the course runs past the quinta which means we can't go as our was barred. Anyway, was reading in the local paper one of the cars had an accident and ran off the road demolishing part of a fence and landing in the field. Just heard from a neighbour it was part of our land it ended up in. The missus isn't too happy that she wasn't informed. =O

The rally organiser has just been in touch with the missus. He told her about 50 metres of fencing needs repaired and they will of course foot the bill. Fortunately there was no cattle in that field or it could have been worse.
