Apparently the major credit card companies are doing away with signatures in the USA, which are pretty useless anyway. The big question is: will this ever catch on in Argentina?
In many supermarkets you have to sign your name, then write it clearly, add your ID number and in some cases even write down your phone number, an exercise that I find mind numbing.
For a country so obsessed with fraud and corruption, I'm surprised that anti fraud technology isn't used more widely. I once wrote Mickey Mouse on a Coto credit card bill and no one even looked at it.
