That video gives a glimpse into why people like to be on the open road on a bike. In a car you really do miss some of that panoramic beauty.

When I was a lot younger, I did get a bike license in Italy but I never had a bike. They are impossible to rent, unless you go on small island were mopeds are widely in use, such as Capri, Ischia, Pantelleria, etc.
As my foreign license was not recognized here, I didn't bother to get a bike license in Argentina. I would be too scared to leave any belongings on the street anyway!
In Italy there are many bikers, and some of them are female, and on Sunday they venture in groups about anywhere. Here I don't see many, except for work duties (motocouriers, delivery guys) or crime.

To use a bycicle you do not need a license in Argentina, as far as I know.
But please, if you are going to use a bicycle, be straight and respect the traffic lights. Normally the argentine bicycle users ignores the rules. And they assume that we, car drivers, are the Black Hats bad guys.

Bike refers also to motorcycles, Carlos. I can see it can get confusing.

It’s in the context. “Bike,” without further clarification, means “bicycle.” If we know the conversation is about motorcycles, it’s easier to say or write “bike.” Just Northern Hemisphere laziness.
