Not only are many of the banks on strike today, but everyone else has decided to join in the fun. Teachers, court clerks and anyone else that feels life is treating them badly.

What the fuck is wrong with this country? After five days of leisure it's time to screw everyone else and never mind the consequences.

I'm hoping it rains cats and dogs all day.

Rains seems to be the only calming force of this country's craziness. Just like last year's protests at the Congress when the pension reform was being discussed. The first day it was a urban guerrilla, the second day... well, it rained, so nobody showed up and nothing happened. Problem solved!

Now, if only we could have rain-on-demand...

Since porteños stay home when it rains anyway, not much difference between día de lluvia and día de paro.

The rail unions have announced a rail strike for Thursday, yet the Mitre line from Retiro to Tigre has been closed for weeks anyway during essential work and won't open again until March, apparently. This has also affected other lines.
