I'm looking for someone to help me learn how to make little videos for fun, in the style of memes. To take videos I make on my phone, and add in some text and music, and things like that 
Anyone know anything about this and interested in being a teacher for hire?

I am sure they can help you! They have course for photography with mobile phones, so they could be also helpful for funny videos.
I have done some video tutorials, but with the standard Apple software provided with any Apple computer (iMovie). There is also a professional video editing software for Apple users called Final Cut Pro, but it is not cheap.
This is the kind of thing i did (no study required, very intuitive after watching a 30' tutorial on youtube on iMovie)
It is about using a translation software, not specifically related to the translation part per se, just about how to use this professional translation software.
