How to add pictures in the forum

When posting a message in the forum you can add an inline picture provided it's no larger than 3Mb as follows.

Click Attachments > upload > choose a file from the dialogue box that opens. The locations within the dialogue box can be changed depending on where the picture is that you wish to upload, IE My Pictures, Desktop etc. If you're on an iPad, it's where you have your photos stored. You can also right click on an Internet photo and click 'save image as...' then download it for later uploading here.

Once you've clicked OPEN in the dialogue box, you can then select Thumbnail (recommended) or Full Image.

Alternatively you can use an image hosting service such as Imgur, Photobucket or a host of others and simply post the share code directly into the post.

You can also create an album in the gallery and upload pictures in there.

Job done!

Don't forget how easy it is to upload pictures using this guide and if you're in any doubt as to the size of the picture you want to upload, on Windows: right click, then properties tab and this should show the size.

The maximum is 2 Mb at the moment.

You can now upload the attachments with the following extensions:

bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, pdf, png, txt, zip

As previously mentioned, the file size has been increased to 3Mb.

Alternatively, if the files is too large, upload it to Imgur, Photobucket or a similar image hosting service and simply post the link here.

When posting links from Imgur and other similar sites:

Copy the link and paste it into the post where the image will appear automatically or just the link for people to follow. If the image doesn't appear, that's because the media provider isn't in the list. Therefore people can just open the link.

Alternatively, download the image from Imgur or others and upload it here using the instructions further up in this post.
