I admire your endless talents, Splinter . The CHS-to-digital conversion must be very satisfying, as you are making it possible for your clients to again enjoy their old videos.
I had a video cassette of me when I was 2 years old or so. I passed it back to the family member that gave it to me when I came here. I should have brought it with me for Splinter to digitise.
This may help if your PC doesn't turn off but restarts itself.

And beware the dreaded McAfee anti-virus that can be accidentally downloaded and also comes preinstalled with many new computers.
It's so heinous that it's akin to a virus itself and you have to download a special uninstaller simply to get rid of it.
Appalling.

Will you update to Windows 24H2? I have, but haven't noticed any difference.

I always liked Windows XP back in the day. I recall it being stable, easy to use and not subject to updates every 5 minutes.

Not that I know much about such things but I'd agree. The missus curses her Windows 11 laptopevery time she switches it on. It won't allow her to do anything before it updates itself. I've tweaked the settings but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
