I’d think one of the many benefits you realize would be running across people like this and having conversations, no matter how brief.

While parked outside the fruit and veg shop waiting for the missus I spent 15 minutes observing a young chap wearing bombacha de campo and gaucho beret., He was bent over his motor bike unbolting parts of the engine to bits. Strange I thought, as the usual breakdowns I've witnessed here always involve the rider pushing it to the nearest mechanic or petrol station. This bloke not only had the tools he had the know how as well. Have to say I was impressed after he bolted and hammered it all back together again and off he went.

A short recap on riding around BA last year during the hard lockdown.

Today I noticed a rattling sound from the front and when changing the oil, I noticed that the front wheel had a wobble which at first I thought maybe the bearing was shot. But on closer inspection I saw that nut holding the wheel rod/axle in place, was loose. That could have been tricky, so I'm going to have to be more vigilant in future.

Might make for a bad day if the front wheel is lost!!!!!

On the way to the countryside today we passed an old pick-up stuck in the middle of the road missing one of its back wheels ....it was lying several yards away. Not a soul to be seen....they'd obviously fucked off!!

Not being able to understand that conversation at the end, I’m just guessing? Did the biker get away, or was that the cop?

Can anyone tell me the make and model number of this bike? It's hard to tell from this angle.
What bike?

I'll be going for one of these, Royal Enfield Himalayan which will be a big change from my current bike. I like the rugged looks and the fact that it will probably go anywhere off-road, which my current bike simply can't,
They are also a very good price here, at the moment anyway. I like the red colour although I'm thinking of having a custom paint job done on the tank.

Looks fawncy. Red catches the eye of cops looking for speeders, but I haven’t noticed that police in Argentina are as preoccupied with speed as US cops.

You're right. Cops here have more important things to do like not being shot at and dealing with more serious offences.
Cameras do that shit.

The police here don't give a shit what speed anyone does. They're far too busy browsing their phones, yapping and smoking anyway. They really are a joke!!
Nice bike Splinter....wouldn't fancy being a pillion passenger though. Especially if the driver's heavy on the brake pedal.

I doubt that I'll ever take a pillion passenger because Adri won't get on any bike. That's a big shame because we could go to so many places together.

And I avoid cars wherever possible, mainly because we're invisible to them. Not to mention the amount of drivers who text while driving with a phone in one hand.
I was once hit side-on by a driver doing that. Luckily no injuries or damage.
