    We went to see this Beatles tribute band a couple of weeks ago and they were really very good. It was in a small theatre in Martinez, we had a table at the front and enjoyed empanadas and other dishes while we watched. The girls had a bottle of wine and I had a bottle of coke, assisted with a hip flask of rum!

    It was a fun night.

    We went to one of those, and the audience was nearly as much fun as the very good performers. But I'd say your evening was better, as ours was theatre seating, so no table, no snacks, no drinks!

    Some time ago I bought one of those cheap bottles of whisky in a hip flask size plastic bottle, threw the whisky down the sink and filled it with rum for just such an event. I just left it on the table and poured as required since the catering was very informal. My wife likes ice in her wine, so we shared it.
