They only have the one public holiday in November....National Sovereignty Day whatever the heck that is. So I'm sure they'll use any excuse to fit another one in.

My missus feels the same about him. Makes me think there might have been some dodgy business going on.
I think Francisco didnt travel to Argentina , as he didn't want to get too close to CFK.
Any trip would have been used politically by one side or the other.
Many of our Argentine friends didn't like Papa Francisco. I always liked him very much (did not like HIS predecessor) and appreciated him for identifying with the ordinary worker.
But I was viewing him dispassionately as an outsider, as Argentines probably couldn't. And I was surprised that he never traveled to Argentina. I'm guessing Pope Leo is trying to make up for that.

She somehow reconciled with Bergoglio, but I don't know if it was a strategic move by him or by her. I would categorically exclude that it was faith-driven, that's for sure!
This article is enlightening. If you want to know how I dug up this old article, it was because my husband told me that she took a dump in the Buenos Aires cathedral, behind the altar. I thought I was misunderstanding his words, but he said he was talking seriously. So I googled it and found this article that shared way more than I was expecting to find. She was a vulgar and disgusting person and the more I read about her, the more it gets reaffirmed. Good riddance!
