    I often wonder if Guardian and other journalists have any idea of what populism has done to this country. It was wrecked when Milei came to power with labour laws totally skewed.

    Those newspapers should still report what they find shocking. “Libertarians” taking sides with private companies who want workers to continue working the already abnormal 48 hours a week, but also with new flexibility to mandate 12 hour shifts without overtime pay is what was reported. That is what The Guardian knows will be surprising to their readers.

    There are a plenty of flaws in the current system of worker protections, but retribution built into the new laws is only a way of todays Populists to show force in an attempt to gain votes, not solutions for the economy.
