The fire is understood to have started in a vape shop on Union Street on Sunday afternoon, with the building collapsing several hours later.

The fire started in a VAP store ; They thought they had it under control but it restrted and it spread very quickly.

The street where the fire started is a very main thoroughfare.

The railway stattion is the biggest in Glasgow and its closure is horrenndous for the city.

No one is sure when it will reopen.

In the eighties , i worked just two blocks away from where the fire was.

Yes it was the missus who alerted me to it after she saw it on her mobile. At first I assumed it was the Grand Central hotel which horrified me as it's a beautiful old building attached to the station which is also beautiful. Used the station regularly for years so glad to see it escaped the fire. I even remember seeing the Flying Scotsman steam train when I was a boy.

The fire did seem to spread very quickly even after the fire brigade had started to tackle it. I imagine what remains of the building will be demolished. It was a nice old building but not one of the best in the city.

The station will still be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, but they hope to start something later in the week.
