    Good news. :thumbup:

    While here it's been the wettest period since records began. The cereal growers are happy though. The first harvest was one of the best and the one coming up is set to be even better with record yields.

    A few months ago the rainy Argentina weather of Spring was looking to be too much. Talk of damage to plantings and stranded animals. An agricultural emergency declaration for the affected districts until February 2026. Good if things dried up enough to actually be even more productive than usual.

    Not far from us there's still large areas under water due to the amount of water coming down the Salado River. I suspect it's more used for grazing cattle than growing cereal as areas that are prone to flooding tend not to be used for growing crops as the soil is salty.
