“A Reuters/Ipsos poll from earlier this week found that just 17% of Americans approve of the U.S. efforts to acquire Greenland. Only 4% think it’s a good idea to take Greenland using military force. When asked about that poll on Wednesday, Trump called it “fake.” Bipartisan groups in Congress have tried to prevent any attack on Greenland by introducing measures that require congressional approval of such an attack, that prevent military action against NATO members, and that prohibit the use of federal funds for any invasion of a NATO member state or NATO-protected territory.

“Democrats are outraged about Trump’s threats to undermine the entire post–World War II rules-based international order, and they note that Americans want lower health care costs and cheaper groceries, not Greenland.”

I'm surprised that not one NATO ally is jumping up and down with fury over these new and pathetic tariffs that Crump the C**t is imposing. There appear to be no lines he will not cross, including attacking his allies. Incredible and I know what I would say to him face to face.

Faisal Islam: Trump's Greenland threats to allies are without parallel
The US president's latest threats will baffle the leaders of allied nations, writes the BBC's economics editor.

I can assure you that most people are appalled but his behaviour.

I'd be more worried about most Americans. It was them who voted him in. :wt-hell:

President Trump is now claiming that one reason he is pushing to acquire Greenland is that he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a text message he sent to Norway’s prime minister over the weekend. :nut:

Her three reasons are true enough, added to which that c***t in the White House has now said that the UK handing over the Chagos Islands back to Mauritius is an 'act of great stupidity' which is a direct insult to UK PM Starmer.

    Quote

"Shockingly, our "brilliant" NATO Ally, the United Kingdom, is currently planning to give away the Island of Diego Garcia, the site of a vital U.S. Military Base, to Mauritius, and to do so FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER"

But and this is a big but, back in 2025, Rubio and that man said...

    Quote

When Keir Starmer announced the UK had signed the deal on 22 May 2025, Starmer said: "President Trump has welcomed the deal along with other allies, because they see the strategic importance of this base and that we cannot cede the ground to others who would seek to do us harm."

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also welcomed it, and issued a statement saying that Trump had "expressed his support for this monumental achievement".

Rubio said the deal "reflects the enduring strength of the US-UK relationship".

"We stand ready to continue our collaboration to promote peace, security, and prosperity in the Indian Ocean and beyond," he added.

How easy they find it to ignore the truth just like every despot that ever lived.

The UK-US so called 'special relationship' is now in tatters.

Neither of those two persons has ever had any trouble changing their positions by 180 degrees. When questioned about the about-face, they are apologetic or embarrassed in the slightest.

He’s supposed to be receiving King Charles on a visit soon isn’t he?

My head spins thinking about the consequences of everything he does these days.

Trump's Davos speech was an incoherent, idiotic, egotistical babble full of mistruths and lies and he even referred to Iceland, confusing it with Greenland.

Frankly, it was cringeworthy and embarrassing to listen to with, thankfully, the applause a tad muted. I was gobsmacked when two or three people actually stood up to clap him, ovation style.

Three more years of this, people. Three more fucking years.
