With every news outlet reporting from the Coast, I am wondering our forum members are spending this Argentinian summer. Do you have any trip planned?

We don't have anything planned. The cat situation at home makes it very hard -- the cats do not get along and we can no longer ask a cat sitter to come in once a day to clean the litter box and stock up the feeders. We'd need a referee in the house!

My work is slow at the moment and I'd fancied at least a weekend away, but this is what it is. I'll have to hold it until it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere, I guess.

We have a similar problem with dogs rather than cats. If it hadn't been for Nazarena who they know and trust we wouldn't have been able to go on holiday last year. She was able to come and see to the dogs here in town as well as those out in the countryside during our time away. No such thing as dog kennels here and even if there was we wouldn't put them through the experience of having to stay in a strange place for a couple of weeks. Especially as a couple of them are getting on a bit...Molly our Jack Russell is coming up for 16 years young.

So we decided not to go to Europe this year. The missus suggested a few days away somewhere in Argentina but I don't fancy all the faffing about it would involve. I can't even be arsed going to the apartment in BA to stay a night or two.

I don't have any plans but my wife will be going to Uruguay for a week with her old school friends while I hold the fort at home and look after the rather demanding cats.
