I always had a crush on Bardot and had posters of her stuck on the wall at school. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind either, most of which I agreed with.

Although she retired from acting in 1973, she certainly continued to make headlines, in the 1980’s as a committed animal rights activist, and for many years as a proponent of extreme far-right politics, even speaking up for convicted sex offenders.
She definitely was an enigma.
