Has anyone brought a north American shower head to Arg? If so, did the standard 1/2" thread work? Or is it a metric size? Thinking of bringing one down .

We brought a shower fixture from the US. The plumber had no problems installing. I wasn't watching, so I don't know if it required adapters, but if it did he had no problem finding them.

I put a decent shower head in ours and it's made all the difference!
But more importantly, I think there should be a special place in hell reserved for shower curtains. We've used one for the past decade and were going to convert the bath to a shower cubicle, but it's expensive, so instead we'll be fitting a decent shower screen. Chau curtain!

Splinter , here’s our shower door. This is the only kind I’ve seen outside of Argentina, and I really prefer the kind you have chosen, since the whole shower are dries better without a sealing door. You call it a shower screen? Since it goes only 2/3 of the way across, does water spray around the room? Are shower screens available only for tub showers, or also for showers alone, like ours? -
That does look very nice. But yours isn't a bath, it's a shower cubicle. We could choose one of these two instead and are going back today to decide.

I'd much prefer a shower cubicle. I hate showers in baths. They're an accident waiting to happen more so the older I get.

Glassed in cubicles can create dampness problems unless the doors are left standing open during humid weather. Voice of experience.

We made our argentina shower, not a bathtub, with ⅔ a screened wall. A third of it is completely open without much of a lip or step. It does not splash. I was not a fan of shower stall doors before, and now would never consider it again.

I like the open area. Easy to exit. There is no splash out onto the room floor, so there is no reason for a door.

We changed our minds and went for the sliding glass doors screen because it's a small bathroom and the angles are too tight for swinging glass panels. It will look something like these when it's done in a few weeks time.

The whole curtain and rod arrangement, although cheap and functional, has always driven me nuts!
