I should start by saying I'm a bit of a numpty about such things. I've been using Firefox for years because I always found it to be user friendly and quick. However since using Windows 11 it's become a pain in the bum especially after recent updates. I use it much more on my laptop than my mobile.
Which browser do you use?

For browsing I use Firefox on Android, iPad, Mac and Linux. Though not a daily user of Windows, I do install it there. With the option to automatically sync everything, history, tabs open, etc… it is painless to jump between devices. I think Chrome has added a similar feature only recently. For security I never login to my google account on any Firefox that is used for browsing. I use google for searching, but not as a logged in user. Firefox also has a decent optional security feature of session containers. This keeps different types of websites, like banking and shopping and whatever segregated from each other. Finally, I never visit social media on the desktop OS, only on mobile devices in their designated apps.
I also use Chrome on every device. I use this to only login to google, for those google docs applications.

Why does Firefox gives you security concerns regarding banking, shopping and social media?

Why does Firefox gives you security concerns regarding banking, shopping and social media?
Firefox does not give me concerns. It is just the rouge website I might visit by mistake. The idea being that a script running in one tab might be able to do something to gain access to the data that is in another. It is unlikely these days with the improvements of most browsers, though I continue this habit from long ago.
And to clarify, I only do this as a way to securely isolate my Google docs account. I like Firefox for almost everything was what I tried to say.
Firefox does an even better job with it's 'Container' feature. For example, you can tell Firefox that everytime you visit your bank, it will run that tab in a separate memory space container in an attempt to be more secure. It is almost like opening that tab in a separate browser. Firefox added this security feature to address the concerns that I mention. It is a more reasonable solution, and so I should consider changing my old habits by trusting the Firefox container feature for everything instead of having google docs in a different browser. In the old days I would also only bank using a separate browser. Mozilla Firefox help link below can explain better than me.
Finally, I consider social media even riskier than most. I will not visit from a desktop operating system. Only from a mobile device, probably only from their designated app. I did not mean to suggest I do this because of Firefox. Though I realize, a reasonable less paranoid solution could be for me to use the Firefox Containers option.

First I'd heard of Firefox containers to be honest so thanks for the link. My missus does all the financial stuff through the bank apps on her mobile.

Well a mobile banking app is an ideal separate space to be secure. I do that more often than before, for quick access. I still like sitting at the computer for more thorough sifting through the financial data.

I use Opera as my default browser, Chrome from time to time and Edge only with a VPN just to keep it separate.

I used to use Opera way back. I used Edge last night after posting this. Too early to say but as I was able to import my stuff from Firefox it made it easier to use.
