I predict a bad day for Milei in the mid-term elections on the 26th of October because he and his party have a knack for shooting themselves in the foot. If things don't improve by October 2027, there's a real possibility that the Peronists will win the general election and the front runners for president would be Kicillof and Massa - two failed economy ministers who each brought the country to its knees.

My money would be on Kicillof who has the support of CFK and is more or less her protégé. She would have all her convictions overturned as part of the deal, the money printing machine would be dusted off and all Milei's measures would be reversed.

For me, it's the nightmare scenario.

I've always though the little runt would become President one day. So I wouldn't be surprised at all.

It is a decent BBC report. Is unfortunate if no real new politicians enter the scene. Kicillof and/or Massa will inflict the cepo currency controls that have been shown to block economic growth. Milei lacks the temperament to lead. He intentionally pushes away the potential allies who then as a larger group could succeed for Argentina. He obviously has no idea how to grow the economy from within, and continues to beg outside investors to bring their ideas. Now US government money to prop up bonds and the peso, to calm, essentially bailout, the rich US investors who are concerned about their bet on Argentina which began in 2024.
