    I seemed to have missed this one.

    A permanent change to the time zone is being debated.

    I can never work out what it means though . Would this mean an extra hour of daylight in the evening?

    Yes, apparently.

    Some experts argue that the current time zone can have a negative impact on health and physical performance, affecting mood and daily life.

    I am hoping for BIG changes... Bigger than a hand moving left.

    Anyway, I would be happy if we moved to EST (-4 GMT), so that we are on the same timezone as Miami and NY.

    so that the sun rises earlier;

    More daylight in the morning, right? Like other places they want commuters and school children to start their morning with some daylight. The time zone has changed at least once, if not twice, since I have known Argentina in past 20+ years. Or was the time zone change 1-2 times in Chile which always caused my traveling connection to be confusing?

    On positive note is that my car's clock is always right. I hated having to adjust it twice a year when I lived in Italy. The way to do it is meant to be done once in a lifetime, not twice a year

    I remember there was some change in the past. For summers of 2007 and 2008 Argentina was UTC-2. Around the same date NYC would change to UTC-5 for their winter.
