    Long considered stable, even in the face of changing climate conditions, Perito Moreno has retreated nearly half a mile in some areas over the past few years and could retreat by more than a mile in the near future.

    Yes it's worrying.

    By the way, our in-laws went there last year and enjoyed a couple of Scotches on the rocks with the rocks being hundreds of years old.

    We brought back calved off chunks of an Alaskan glacier, said to have been millions of years old, in our checked luggage, to give to a friend for drinks use at his 40th birthday party. Luggage went astray, then caught up with us 3 days later. Because of the density of the ice, it hadn’t even started melting.
