I didn’t know there was a name for this. But I employ it multiple times each day.

Their Superpower? Holding Things. (Gift Article)
Known as “the claw grip” online, women are making videos about how many objects they can hold without a purse or functional pockets. What is the larger message?

My mum always described this as "A lazy man's load."

    Or the time-saving woman’s load.

Every day, as I’m heading out of a room in the house I glance around and spot multiple things that belong somewhere else, so I start grabbing them up to put away. There might be a teacup, a partially-read magazine, a book, a pair of earrings, a phone, a jacket, a bottle of water, a stack of mail - - destined for 8 different locations. Like a human snowshovel, I scoop them up and deliver each to its logical place, using what I now know is called the claw grip.

    Lazy? Maybe.

I do the same, but when I get to the room I forget why I went there in the first place.
